Born and raised in Wisconsin, Taylor spent his youth milking cows, which led him to attain an Associate’s degree in Agri-Business. He worked in various positions in the agriculture industry for ten years. Katie, also a Wisconsin native, is a convert to Catholicism. While they were engaged, Taylor introduced Katie to the Catholic Church through Relevant Radio. Five short months after their wedding, Katie was welcomed into the Church at Easter Vigil 2006.
Together they taught religious education, led Bible studies, and were part of the Life Teen core team at their parish in Brillion, Wisconsin. Taylor especially loved his time at the Saturday morning Esto Vir men’s Bible study, while Katie enjoyed cooking and baking treats for her family and friends.
Taylor and Katie, along with their six children Malachi, Ruth, Leo, Anthony, twins Faustina and Adele, and María have answered God’s call to be full-time lay Catholic foreign missionaries in Picota, Peru. They are joyfully living with the poor and bringing the Gospel to them.
