Mary Clare
My name is Mary Clare. I am from the wonderful state of Texas. After having the great blessing of growing up in a Catholic charismatic community, I traveled across the country to study nursing at Benedictine College in Kansas. While in school, my faith truly began to flourish as I came to personally know the person of Christ – this radically changed my life. Thanks be to God! Since then, my relationship with the Lord has continued to grow and develop as He continues to reveal to me various desires of my heart – one of which has always been to serve Him through serving His church around the world. My first taste of mission work led me wanting so much more! I have been so blessed to serve on mission in El Salvador, Rwanda, and most recently in the Philippines. After these various short-term missionary experiences, the Lord began to place the idea of long-term foreign missions in my heart. I graduated from nursing school and after much prayer, I am totally convinced: the Lord is calling me to be a full-time missionary!
Jesus has truly called me to be His hands and feet by serving His people around the world. My research and prayer has led me to join Family Missions Company, allowing me to join with other lay Catholic missionaries who are responding to Christ’s Great Commission. Please keep me in your prayers as I serve the church ad gentes and I pray that you may be open to God’s calls and the Holy Spirit’s promptings for you and your family. God bless you!
