Madelyn Weaver
Madelyn grew up as the oldest of seven children in a Catholic family in the Augusta, Georgia area. From a young age, God gave Madelyn an awareness of His loving presence and care for her, and an attraction to missionary life.
After finishing high school and attending college for a year, Madelyn decided to take a semester off of school, seeking community and seeking to serve in a missionary capacity. This led her to take the position of childcare coordinator for Family Mission Company at their mission base in Louisiana, where she soon discerned the Lord was calling her to stay beyond her original six-month commitment.
A year and a half later, still with FMC, Madelyn was praying with a group of missionaries on a mission trip in Mexico when she felt the Holy Spirit calling her to be open to serving the poor and making disciples internationally. With an increasing sense of joy and excitement, Madelyn moved forward in this call. She looks forward to seeing where and to whom the Lord leads her as she walks with Him as an FMC missionary.
