
James Franke
From Rouses Point, New York, a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, James entered Intake in 2009 and served full time in Spain and Mexico. After returning from the field, James spent 7 years as Mission Trip Coordinator, organizing and leading all of FMCs short-term mission trips. Marrying his wife, Janie, in 2016 and settling down in Lafayette, Louisiana, James entered into ministry stateside, working at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church as a DRE, RCIA and Confirmation Coordinator, and Youth Minister, and teaching at Redemptorist Catholic School (Crowley, LA). While remaining at IHM, James began teaching at Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, also serving as Campus Minister, Religion Admin, and head of the Theology Department. In 2021, James returned to FMC part-time, taking on a role overseeing FMC’s two retreat facilities. In 2023, James returned full-time to FMC to serve as its Events and Programs Coordinator, continuing to oversee our retreat facilities and to help again with our short-term mission trip opportunities, while also remaining involved in ministry as the Confirmation Coordinator at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott, LA.
