Dylan & LeRyn Perry
LeRyn and Dylan were both born and raised in South Louisiana and, although they grew up nearly 15 miles away from one another, wouldn’t actually meet until 2014. They were married 10 years later on April 6, 2024, and have committed to live a life under the lordship of Jesus; promising always to say “yes” to whatever it is He asks of them.
God first ignited a heart of mission in LeRyn at the age of 18, when she saw a promo video for Family Missions Company while attending a Steubenville Youth Conference. Though she had a heart to serve, an opportunity for mission would not present itself until she was called to Centerburg, Ohio, as a Damascus missionary in 2019.
Dylan, on the other hand, has always been servant-hearted. He grew up around the Family Missions Company community and, as he began career welding, he loved using his paid vacation time to help staff Faith Camp. He even went to Mexico with FMC on a short-term trip, but one thing that lingered in the back of his mind was the number of people in his hometown of Abbeville that didn’t truly know the person of Jesus.
While LeRyn served with Damascus, her heart was once again stirred for foreign mission. God also restored her relationship with Dylan and the two entered into engagement. Once Dylan moved to Ohio, they began to believe that one of them would always have to sacrifice their desires because the callings on their lives seemed so contradictory; with Dylan’s heart for South Louisiana and LeRyn’s heart breaking for the nations. The two of them never expected to be called to serve on Family Missions Company’s staff, to be entrusted with the stewardship of their two retreat properties (Stillwater and Our Lady of the Bayous), all while supporting the fulfillment of the Great Commission in their very own Vermilion Parish (Jeremiah 29:14).
Their story is one of discovering that they are intimately known by an infinite God (Psalm 139). It is a love story of redemption and resurrection and a continual growth in understanding of who God is as Father. They have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord and believe that the story He is writing is one worth telling. Their missionary “yes” is merely a response to the radical love that never ceases to pursue them and they long for everyone to know that that love has a name: His name is Jesus. They are excited to steward the presence of God in this new assignment and to watch the way He encounters everyone who steps foot onto the properties in their care (Psalm 23).
