Alexis was born and raised in New Mexico. She is the oldest of eight children and found herself learning what a gift life was with each new addition to her family. She has grown in her relationship with and knowledge of Christ little by little since High School. She has always had a sense that God was preparing her for something and has discerned many possible paths. It was during her graduate studies that she went on a mission trip to Peru with Family Missions Company. After experiencing Christ’s own love for the poor in a tangible way, she found herself longing to be with them, to love them and to serve them. During the last year of her graduate program she decided that she could no longer ignore this call and joined Family Missions Company. She cannot wait to see what God will do with her yes.
