Mallory Champa
Mallory grew up on a small farm in Clearwater, Kansas and is a cradle Catholic. She always aspired to know more about God and her relationship with Him. She journeyed to Boston College on a running scholarship to pursue her dream of competing at a Division I university, and there she encountered Christ’s pursuit of her heart in her first ever Theology class. Her hunger for God grew and she completed her Master’s degree in Theology five years later. Feeling called to work for the Church in some capacity, Mallory moved home to Kansas and worked at her home parish as Director of Faith Formation and Youth Ministry for 3 years. From there she was called to teach High School Theology in Denver to all girls. While encountering Christ in these young women and teaching the faith, she discovered even more deeply that the human person is created to Love and be Loved unconditionally. During her time teaching in Denver, Mallory discovered Christ calling her to give her entire life to him. Because she absolutely loves spending time with people and talking about the faith, she felt called to go spend time with the poorest of the poor and communicate that they are Loved unconditionally.
After meeting FMC, Mallory knew she was at home. The way this community radically gives themselves to Christ attracted her heart; she knew she wanted to live with and learn from these amazing missionaries. She is so excited to begin this new journey with Christ and FMC and would love for you to mission with her!
