Words of Wisdom from Our Co-Founder
Our late co-founder, whom we affectionately called Mr. Frank, wrote many encouraging and convicting letters to our missionaries throughout his years of leadership. We wanted to share this compilation of inspiring words of wisdom from different correspondence he made to us. We pray these words draw you closer to Jesus and the hearts of the poor.
“Serving the poor in missions is not glamorous, but it is often glorious, joyful, and very satisfying.”
“I hope to die as a missionary, preaching the Gospel and serving the poor with my wife and children and grandchildren—in Family Missions Company—with our missionaries from around the world. Please pray that I will.”
“This is the Year of Faith—we have entered a New Springtime of evangelization.”
“Announce the Gospel from the pulpits, on the streets, in the schools, at work, at play, always and everywhere, at home, in love.”
“Insist on the Gospel in good times and in bad times.”
“The grace to live Gospel Poverty is there, will you accept it?”

“The Church exists to evangelize—that is the principal ministry which the Church owes to mankind.”
“It is not enough to live silent religious lives. We must give vocal witness, we must proclaim the Gospel, even shout it from the rooftops!”
“To evangelize or ‘gospelize’ the Church and the world, we ourselves must be students, or ‘disciples’, of the Gospel.”
“The Gospel teaching of Jesus is meant to be lived, really, today, by us!”
“The laity have available to them everything needed to attain the best and highest holiness.”
“Filled with the Holy Spirit and following Jesus, we can all be saints!”
