Lafayette – Becoming a Missionary
Is God calling you to the mission field? Have you had the urge to find out more about becoming a missionary? With our 23 years of experience in the mission field, Family Catholic Missions can help you fulfill that call. Becoming a missionary is a great and fulfilling challenge, and those of us who have given our lives as missionaries know that there is no better life than one given entirely in the service of the Gospel.
If you are a Lafayette area resident, we hope and pray that if you do hear the call, you will respond generously to that call with your whole heart, with your entire life. Even if you don’t feel qualified, God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called. Plus, the FMC family will be with you through the entire process, from your first Come and See visitation at our Abbeville mission center at Big Woods, until your final mission destination is completed. We are here to pray with you, advise you and nurture that call. In prayer and contemplation, you’ll know whether God is calling you into becoming a missionary.
Just as God first sent forth the missionary family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph to bring His Gospel into the world, he may be calling you. Becoming a missionary is a calling that only you can discern for yourself and your family. There are many issues to consider.
