Celebrating 50 Years of Love
Family life is so important in FMC! We welcome singles and families of all sizes to serve in the mission field, believing that the witness of holy family life is one of the most important ways to be a missionary. This belief comes in part from the witness and experience of our founders, Frank and Genie, who travelled the globe as missionaries with their seven children beginning almost 40 years ago.
All of the FMC community felt very blessed to witness our inspirational founding couple celebrating 50 years of marriage this past week with a liturgy at St. James Chapel followed by a reception at Big Woods. Hundreds of friends and family showed up at their Golden Anniversary Mass to share in the renewal of their vows, and rejoice in the amazing work that God has done through them and their family throughout the years. As founders of FMC, their loving commitment to marriage and family is a touchstone of our community’s mission life.
Frank and Genie have seven children, and seventeen grandchildren (with two more due this year)! All of them have been or are currently involved in mission work. It is beautiful to see how when two become one, God blesses and multiplies their love.
