Our Missionaries Prepare A Community for the Sacraments:
As Catholics we are so blessed to be able to draw people to the God’s grace in the sacraments , as Rebekah experienced last week: “The most powerful part of the retreat was confession. After some frantic searching and lots of praying, we found a priest who was able to come for a couple hours in the afternoon. Mayet took the retreat participants to the chapel and led them in a thorough examination of conscience.
The Holy Spirit was working in people’s hearts and urging them towards this sacrament of healing and forgiveness. Almost everyone at the retreat went for confession! Some of them hadn’t been in many, many years. One lady made her first confession ever. I will never forget the incredible freedom that radiated from my friends’ faces as they walked out of confessional. It still gives me shivers to think about the outpouring of grace that rained down that afternoon!
